Hey there, and welcome to Now and Forever Love!
As important as it is to plan well for the wedding, it’s just as imperative to take care of yourself once the day finally arrives. Think of it like this: what’s the point of planning the happiest day of your life if you can’t be calm, happy, and able to truly enjoy the fruits of your labor? Sure, there’s family and friends to impress. But at the end of the day, they’re all there for you and your spouse.
That’s why today we’re here to talk about 5 simple but significant actions you can take to de-stress on your actual wedding day.
Ready? Let’s go!
This might not seem like it deserves to be on this list, but trust us it’s crucial. If you’re not used to drinking water or don’t like the taste, try adding sugar-free flavoring to make it taste better. The physical labor of walking around all day in a wedding dress alone is enough to make anyone dehydrated, let alone the Bride (and Groom)!
Put Your Phone Down
That’s one of the benefits of hiring a wedding planner-the team can take care of everything for you! Vendors, even important family members and friends who are involved in the wedding, can be directed to someone else so that you can alleviate the stress.
Have Something to Eat
Since you (and your spouse) are the star of the show, you really don’t know when you’re going to eat unless you carve out time to do so. You’re getting ready, taking photos, actually getting married, then taking more photos, visiting tables at the reception, etc. While there usually is time for you to eat at the reception, remember to eat a good breakfast and have light snacks at the very least available for you to munch on.
Take a Breath
If the nerves come up for a visit, don’t be afraid to ask for a minute or two of alone time. It’s completely normal and expected to feel a little nervous, so just know that it’s a part of the experience! Remember that it’s okay to take a breath and calm the nerves, because what matters most is that you feel comfortable and ready to walk down the aisle.
Last but not least, you have to remember to have fun. Your wedding is a wonderful celebration of your greatest love, so remember to let loose! You worked so hard to create memories that will last a lifetime, so enjoy and live in the moment.
